Based in Southampton, Under An African Sky’s key objective is to create unique, individual and highly personalised vacations, which will be individually designed around each clients needs, to meet their specific requirements.
We consider the need to build personal relationships with our clients as a major part of the overall experience of South Africa, and by merging our extensive knowledge of South Africa and our chosen Hotels, Game Lodges and Travel Associates, into a highly personalised presentation, we feel that we will be able to impart the essence and first hand knowledge needed to create the perfect South African vacation.
Depending on the individual requirements of our clients, we offer a service whereby a member of Under An African Sky will meet with the client at a venue of their choice, be it in a corporate environment or in the comfort of their own home and through innovative marketing tools (Brochure, Website and DVD Presentation), take them on a journey through a medley of the sights and sounds of South Africa, whilst advising and planning, around their personal requirements, their ideal South African vacation.
The Service
In order to provide a truly unique level of service that will allow the client to experience all that South Africa has to offer, in a manner that is befitting of their requirements, we have put in place a system that will ensure service excellence from start to finish.
Depending on requirements, we have designed, as a broad standard, 3 Holiday Options, which are examples of how we can co-ordinate a vacation to suit the diverse individual needs of our clients. So - whether you are seeking a more carefree and adventurous vacation and prefer to drive your own hire car and arrange your own activities - or, if you are someone who prefers the professional guidance of one of the members of our highly professional and skilled Customer Liaison Team then you can sit back and relax and leave us to take care of your arrangements, while you enjoy your vacation.
With the key emphasis on customer service, Under African Sky believes that each vacation needs to be designed in a way that meets with the expectations and preferences of the individual client.
Under An African Sky (South Africa)
Under An African Sky (South Africa) has been established to co-ordinate each vacation and cater to the individual needs of our clients from the booking stage through to returning to the UK.
Whilst many UK tour operators have successfully partnered local South African Ground Handlers, there is often a lack of continuity between the Tour Operator/ Travel Agent in the UK and the Domestic Providers in South Africa, leaving room for error which could spoil the holiday experience, and ultimately damage the reputation of not only the Tour Operator but also our Associates and ultimately South Africa as a Tourist Destination.
In order to avoid any mishaps and to provide a consistent level of service excellence throughout the vacation period, Under An African Sky has set up its own Ground Handling unit in South Africa, based in Cape Town.
This Division is responsible for all domestic logistics and customer relations, ensuring that the control of each vacation is not decentralised and that standards and levels of service are carefully monitored and managed.
The second role of Under an African Sky (South Africa), is to manage all peripheral activities such as restaurants, fine jewellers, sporting facilities etc, and by working directly with our carefully selected Auxilliary Companies in South Africa, we are able to align their Operations, we can confidently recommend their services in the knowledge that our clients will be well looked after.
Depending on the level of service required, we will participate in the planning and orchestration of each holiday - be it arranging a hire car, making reservations for a special meal or a round of golf, booking a helicopter for a visit to one of the superb wine farms for a romantic lunch or for a sunset flip around Cape Point, arranging a meeting with a fine jeweller for a customised piece, co-ordinating a function or arranging a Limosine for a special occasion or providing a personal guide/escort for the duration of the stay.
